PR CARD RENEWAL
If you are returning to Canada from another country, whether travelling by land, by sea or by air, it is your obligation to establish your residency at the port of entry. Your Permanent Residency Card (PR Card) is your authorized, lawfully-accepted, identity card to prove your status in Canada as a permanent resident. The PR Card is only valid for five years and there are rules regarding how to maintain permanent resident status.
